Yep, you read right. A new video game development company, Brash Entertainment, is working hard to bring us a video game based off of the hit “Saw” horror flicks that have become a staple in the movie industry among horror fans and mainstream audiences alike.Brash Entertainment is a brand new company whose main focus is to create high-end games based off of movies. And yes, I am as skeptical as you probably are, because we know all too well how movie-to-game adaptations end up. Well, at least they are promising us a high end game, but I’ll remain skeptical until there are at least some videos and photos.
The “Saw” franchise is a proven brand in the film space, and it’s important to us that the story translates to both the film and game experience in a way that is meaningful and exciting to both movie fans and gamers,” said Lionsgate Vice Chairman Michael Burns. “The Brash team respects film IP, is passionate about games and cares about quality just as much as we do. They will partner with the best game developer for the project, and then we will all work together in close collaboration.”
Brash has also announced that they have over 40 exclusive licenses with five major film companies. The licenses include those of children’s movies, action flicks, and even a few more horror films.
